I can’t believe this was my last session of 2020!! It feels so long ago now!! This was such a beautiful newborn lifestyle photoshoot with the gorgeous Chris & Jodie and their family in Newbury. One positive I’ll take from lockdown, is that I now have time to share some of my favourite recent sessions!!
I was so delighted to be asked back to photograph Chris & Jodie’s family again, especially amazing when they have just had a tiny new addition to meet.
Elodie was there to greet me, there as a very proud big sister. Happy to introduce me to the gorgeous Amelie, who was barely 2 weeks old at the time. Honestly, even though I’m a Mum myself, I forget every time, just how tiny new, newborns are!!
The session ran like a dream! I know some parents worry about other siblings. But during any newborn lifestyle photoshoot, I always try make the siblings centre of my attention. Something I’ll always explain to the parents before I arrive. It just keeps the older children engaged and often means they really want to be involved and in the photos. It doesn’t always work and I sometimes have to come up with a few different ideas to switch things around. In this case though, Elodie made my life very easy!! There was definitely no need to try my plan B, she was more than happy to be part of each photo. In fact, I could see some major disappointment on her face when I suggested just a few with Ameilie on her own!!
