Fun, stylish, and positively infectious!
Ella and Shaun had their retro-chic wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall. And oh man, this was everything a London wedding could be. It was stylish, it was chic, it was intimately personal. And it was wildly romantic in the coolest kind of way.
Oh, and quick side note: these guys are literally the kindest family ever! I photographed Ella’s sister last year, and I completely fell in love with them. Tons of fun, surrounded by the nicest friends and family. And just *filled* with the most infectiously positive outlook on life.
Absolutely love them. My kinda people. Big Ella fam fan.
What was I saying? Ah yes, Ella and Shaun’s wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall.
If you’re looking for London wedding inspiration, you have officially found it. I’ve even given you some Old Marylebone tips along the way…

Champagne, dancing, and nostalgic bangers
Our day began in the Hilton Metropole*. Summer sunlight streamed through the window; London life busying by in the streets below.
And it was lovely, you know?
Just Ella, her best friend, and her two triplets; champagne-dancing to nostalgic bangers, reading love notes, and telling stories. Their dad sitting on the chair, laughing along with his girls.
And oh wow, the whole crew looked incredible. Shaun- just a few doors down in his classic black suit and tie. Ella in the most gorgeous 60s-inspired dress, a petite bouquet, and a retro shoulder-length veil.
They just oozed cool, and London wedding chic.
We downed our champagne, vogued in the hallways, and sassed in the elevator. And then hailed a black cab to the Town Hall.
Honestly, if there was ever a retro-chic wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall, this was it, effortless style, cool energy, and that timeless London vibe
*London wedding photography tip: if you’re having your wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall, Hilton Metropole is the perfect place to start your day. Gorgeous light, tons of space, super-comfy rooms. And just a 10 minute walk (or 5 minute cab) to the Town Hall.

Wedding in the Pimlico Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall
A wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall is a thing of wonder. They. Are. Organised.*
It’s genuinely unbelievable how streamlined it all is! They have SO many weddings there. But from the moment we stepped through those doors, we didn’t see another couple until we got back outside.
E&S had their ceremony in the Pimlico Room– a gently stylish, intimate space with just 15 guests.
Simple vases of white and dove-grey hydrangeas sat on the fireplace (supplied by the Town Hall, but absolutely perfect for the palette!) The guests chatted away as they waited, passing around the hand-held fans.
And then Ella made her entrance.
The ceremony was romantic, and emotional. And filled with that classic sense of humour these two inject into everything they do. They kissed, they signed, their guests cheered. And E&S walked hand-in-hand through the Town Hall as husband and wife.
*Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding tip: whatever you do, don’t be late. They run like clockwork; don’t be the dodgy cog.

Old Marylebone Town Hall: The London landmark of the wedding world
When you have your wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall, you become a part of history.
You walk down the same corridors as Liam Gallagher; you kiss on the same staircase as Antonio Banderes, and (surprise, surprise), Cilla Black. You’re showered with confetti on the same steps as Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr.
And I think that’s all part of the experience, right? Taking part it these *iconic* rights of passage. Having your very own versions of these famous photos; taken with style, printed, and framed.
So when Ella and Shaun’s ceremony was over, that’s what we did.
We had photos in the corridors, and confetti on those famous stone steps. Then, they kissed and cuddled in that oh-so-photogenic alcove. And with sunnies on, and fan in-hand, they strolled across the confetti-speckled pavement, and hailed a cab to Embankment.

Couples shots in Embankment gardens
Afterwards, we were strolling through Embankment Gardens.*
The buzz of the London streets hummed around us; the warm summer sun filled the park. Tourists shouted their congratulations; Londoners completely ignored us.
In the midst of it all, Ella and Shaun were in their own little world. Laughing, kissing, skipping, and catching up. Walking hand-in-hand through those beautiful gardens as husband and wife.
*London wedding photography tip: One of the best things about having your wedding in Old Marylebone Town Hall is you are literally right in the centre of London. Hyde Park is 10 minutes away. You can be in Park Crescent in 6 minutes, and from there, stroll through Regent’s Park. Catch a cab to St Pauls, or stroll along Tower Bridge. You have the world’s biggest playground at your feet. So play.
