Newbury Wedding Photographer
One of my favourite things about being a Newbury wedding photographer is that we’re blessed with so much natural beauty right on our doorstep. With beautiful estates, ancient woodlands, and golden fields all within just a few miles of Newbury. We’re spoiled for choice when it comes to stunning wedding venues that showcase nature in all its beauty.
While the Tipis and Woolley Estate offers a few different venue options for couples, Stacey and Craig had always had their heart set on a woodland ceremony. And I’m sure you can see why they fell in love with the place. Surrounded by ancient woodland and nestled beneath a canopy of trees. It was hard to imagine a more timeless and romantic place for them to begin their lives together.
The rain did not dampen anyones spirits
But you can’t have everything! And- predictably- English weather was not on our side! If you’re planning an autumn wedding (especially in an outside venue!) you have to prepare yourself for the very real possibility that it’ll rain all day!!… And oh my, did the heavens open?! But with everyone wrapped up in ponchos and armed with giant umbrellas, Stacey, Craig and their guests didn’t let it dampen their spirits! If anything, it just added to the experience! The whole wedding party laughed, joked and smiled their way through the day.
With Forest Edge Tipis supplying some much-needed respite from the relentless rain, the guys from The Jam Jar Cocktail Club kept the drinks flowing. And the dancing went on well into the evening. Surrounded by their family and closest friends. I’ve rarely met such a happy, relaxed and fun couple as Stacey and Craig. And best of all, you could tell that they were just so blissfully, head-over-heels in love with each other.
One of the great things about being a documentary wedding photographer on days like this, is that there’s no need to ‘create’ a moment. The whole day was an adventure, overflowing with love and laughter and fun. And it was my happy privilege to be with them to capture this wonderful chapter in their story.
